Best Decisions You've Ever Made
I recently made a decision that has made me very happy.
After living 3 years away from my home down (which granted isn't alot) I've decided to move back to be around family, help out with my aging grandmother (87/88 or so and dimentia is setting in) as well as see relatives when they come in to town to visit.
I'm suprised with just how excited I am to leave an amazing city (Halifax) to move back to a small(er) town (Sydney). But I feel my reasons are valid, and I can still come up to Hali-town on weekends every so often.
Just curious of some of your best decisions in life (ironically another one of my best decisions has been to move to Halifax, haha)

Moving to Calgary 7 yrs ago from Nova Scotia.Left NS with an old truck, hockey bag full of clothes,a toobox,my golf clubs, and about 600 bucks in my bank account.
Own a condo out here now,met a great gal(from NS too) and make more in a day now than I did in a week there.Best decision for sure.

quiting my job last monday.
Not following through on several dares that involved bags of concrete powder, a highway bridge, a bottle of rum and an umbrella.

Moving to California in 2000. It was tough, my parents and bro and sis all lived in Edmonton/Fort McMurray. However, it's all about OPPORTUNITIES and there are so many here.....I don't regret it. In terms of health insurance, as long as you have a regular job, you're covered, so I've never had a problem with that.
Plus the weather rocks and there is just so much more to do.

So be brave like Jon and start a thread. Your's being about your worst decision ever!
The best decision I ever made was to stop asking women out. Single life = less stress!

Packing up my Civic 3 1/2 years ago and leaving The Centre of the Universe for Calgary. Beautiful mountains, friendlier people, and a woman I love. Just wish I would have done it sooner.

That's a really good one! Same here. I never understood why friends of mine started smoking.
Buying a house at a low price because it needed work. Now it's worth a ton of money. Equity on the house allowed me to buy a cabin too.

I quit years ago actually and it's amazing now when I do smoke it (once every six months or whatever) what it feels like to actually be high. When you're chronically high, you don't know any different. Anyways... it's weird.
Also, weird that I didn't even think of it as one of the best decisions I've ever made, but quitting smoking. I can still feel the years of smoking slowing removing themselves from my lungs. The heart murmur doesn't help though, it's taking me longer to recover my lung function because of it. Don't know if it's a best decision so much as a necessary one.

May sound strange but one of the best decisions I even made was not attaching the guard on a table saw… cut 3 fingers and my thumb back around 1990
I got away lucky and for someone that works with saws every day, it was a great lesson to have learned and only messed up my guitar playing for a year.
