I hated Bad News Allen when he was a bad guy on Stampede Wrestling. Hated him. He was good at his job, because he was probably out having beers with the Hart Brothers while I was dreaming up ways in which the Hart Brothers could clobber him the following Saturday afternoon.

well it's on canoe. they have pic of him. Is that your neighbor? article said he lived alone.

Edit: Hey what the? i read this article about 2 hours ago and it said that he lived alone and he had to call Gerry Morrow to get him to the hospital after he complained of chest pains. Am I dreaming??????
Hmmm maybe. The Flames won a road game after being down 2-0. hehe

He was the single reason why i thought wrestling might not have been fake when i was a kid. I mean if you throw a guy into the turnbuckle you don't run face first into him. hahahaha.
I doubted myself so many times. He was the ultimate bad guy.

I remember one time on WWF he was in an over the top Battle Royal. Him and one of the Hartes had an agreement to share the prize. When they were the last two standing and both holding their arms in the air, getting the cheers from the audience, Bad News hooked Hartes leg with his leg and threw him out of the ring. I don't know how he did it, but it was damn funny.

Going through that list of matches, brought back some great memories. How about Honky tonk Wayne, that guy was a great showman. Anyone remember there was a Black guy who became the main title holder for a long time after Owen Hart left Stampede Wrestling. I cannot remember the guy's name for the life of me. I think he was a former football player?

The Zodiac, Jason the Terrible, J.R. Foley, kerry Brown.....all legends in my mind. There was an oriental team that came in and had some great matches with the Harts as well, can't remember their name though.

I was lucky enough to see Chris Benoit's 2nd career match early in 86..and in the main event at the same card I saw Leo Burke who ironically enough is the uncle of the girl I would start going out with 20 some years later

the feud between the Viet Cong Express and Bad Company(Brian Pillman and Bruce Hart) was one of the best tag team feuds of the 80's..the matches were spectatcular for the time.
speaking of the Viet Cong express I found this video on youtube awhile ago..it might not be the best quality but this brings back great memories..check it out

I remember the over the top battle royal with that big ass trophy that Bret Hart and Bad News 'shared' I think... the handshake after... and then, out of nowhere... BNA with the 'ghetto blaster', and the destroying of the trophy. He was one of the great heels of his time. His work with Roddy Pipper near the end of his WWF run is stuff of legends... and the Harlem Rats with Jake the Snake... classic.
See you on the other side 'Bad News'!

I am very sad at the new of Bad News' passing, I remember him in his early years at Stampede, decimating the opposition until Bret Hart caught him with a small package after being beaten 'pillar to post'. I also remember when Bad News dubbed himself the Ultimate Warrior and had a short-lived tag team with Stangler Steve Disalvo. Now HE was roid freak..

Sad to hear. He was a fantastic villain, one of the best ever, in any wrestling organisation, from any era.
I believe I was at Stampede Wrestling for his first match there. I think I still have the program from the week before with his picture on the front announcing that he was going to making his S.W. debut the following week.
He and Bret Hart had some EPIC matches.
Rest in peace Bad News.

So anyways, back a few years ago - I am guessing 1995, I met his daughter, Dawn, at a club and hung out for about a week as friends! She was beautiful but really liked to party hard. Went to a couple of parties with her at one of her friends in Cochrane. Truth be told, I never really believed her dad was Bad News until one night when I met him - she was loaded and I walked her into the house.
Anyways, I just thought I would google her name and I came across this http://www.fortunecity.com/olympia/christie/29/id37.htm
Wow, I think I am in shock!!

For the record, its "Champagne" Jerry Morrow.
Tough news about BN Allen, although has anything been confirmed with the guy that lives in Ranchlands?
Him and Whalen did some pretty good interview on Stampeded Wrestling.

Wow, that's quite a story on that link West Karma and a good back up for me saying in another thread [also side tracked] that the best thing for a lot of people who have a life gone out of control with drugs, is to be in jail. It hurts to watch a loved one waste a life and be powerless to do anything. Thanks to the courts.
