LOL some of you are really, really tiresome. There's clearly a divide here between the homers and the haters and it leaves posters in between like me catching collateral damage. I agree and I don’t really remember Jay Random being all over every thread as Flames police. That was usually Textcritic or dino7c’s job (amongst a few others), so Jay’s a new one I think and wow, is he like a pit bull on critique.

Jay Random was hiding out for the past 15 years. Treliving at the end of the day is an average GM. But I’m not counting him out just yet.

Textcritic tends to respond to a lot of outlandish stuff, or people just saying random things without anything to back it up. He goes about it pretty respectfully and it does help keep the forum to respectable levels. Jiri is pretty good with this sort of stuff too. Not sure what happened with our old Jay Random, I don't remember him like that either.

Jiri is always respectful but no, I don’t read Textcritics posts as very respectful and dinoc7 can straight up just be plain disrespectful and he probably would defend the behaviour under the guise of “not suffering fools” or some stupid thing. Reads the way an engineer would talk actually as if his opinions are facts (they’re not).

Textcritic had some good Winnipeg jokes 5 years ago its more sad now than anything but I'm not going to complain being on a flames fan site and all. This site is actually my favourite place for hockey news and oiler bashing and even though I dont cheer for the flames since the Jets came back I always enjoy this place. There's not many like it and hf boards is pure crap. Much appreciated to those who run it.

Are a lot of them unrealistic or unknowledgeable?

HF has amazing sub-forums for the history of the game, the business of hockey, and international hockey. Outside of that, it's just a lot of people trying to find creative ways to piss off other teams' fanbases without getting banned in the process. The posting demographic is almost certainly younger than CP. I'm one of the youngest here but over there it's a very different atmosphere. The Flames-specific board there is also pretty dead because, well, CP.

The Oilers board on there is an absolute goldmine. If you guys think CP has its cranky members or #### disturbers, that place is chock full of sweatpants-wearing arena pissers arguing with each other.

I didn't add Dino7c because I couldn't find the right words. Well done. Textcritic reminds me of the player that goes to hard areas, and deals with stuff a lot of us probably couldn't handle very well. He has been known to make the odd spelling error too!

I agree. I don't want to go off topic so will end at this comment. This is the best run forum out there and that is a credit to the guys who run it. This place wouldn't be the same without posters like you. I won't cheer for the jets but we agree on the oilers!

I’ve agreed with almost every statement Dinoc7 has made so he’s not too far off of what a good chunk of is feel. We all agree and disagree with a bunch of views on here, and everyone who agrees my way is smart, everyone else is a stupid ####### clearly
