So they've gone through the conservative rehab that the Sabres felt was the best option, it didn't work, and now even Sabres doctors are agreeing that surgery is the best option but he can't get the surgery?

Why would any player ever want to sign with the Sabres at this point? It's one of the worst run franchises in all of sports

When I read the article yesterday saying adams “was in control of the situation “ I knew that Eichels representation would counter with their thoughts of the situation. Not only is the surgery thing a mess , there is no way he wants to be there for a rebuild. He was hinting last year if things didn’t improve he would want to get traded. Now it looks like they are tanking for wright and bedard . They have to trade him. It’s not fair to the young core, they are trying to establish , to have to field questions about this during camp and season.

Maybe this will put some heat on Buffalo to get things moving. As the longer it goes on, the uglier it will get and become a distraction to the team.

But Buffalo does not want any cap or as little as possible in the trade.

The answer to that is, the Flames can make follow up trades to fix the problem. And right now it's not an issue because they can go 10 percent over the cap and they'll have 8 weeks to work it out.

Get eichel first, follow up with the cap clearing trades.

Yup, Zadorov not signed keeps us below the “over the salary cap during off-season” threshold.

Move Monahan after, or Lucic and a high draft pick and really go for it.
