He'd essentially be taking the defensive play role that Lindholm had as well. Only maybe even better. Lindholm's decent defensively. Coleman is very very good.
It all hinges on Monahan's fitness. If he's at 2019 level, great. 2021, nope.

We now just have to play as well as we look.
We brought shame to the best jersey set in the league in that shortened season and that was one of the saddest things about it.

I like this signing, but of course, I also liked the Brouwer and Neal signins at the time.

Someone on the Flames subreddit pointed out that Coleman has played less NHL games than Hanifin:
Coleman: 301
Hanifin: 436
Compare that to Neal and Brouwer when they signed with Calgary:
Neal: 703
Brouwer: 613
Anything can happen but I feel better about the Coleman signing compared to those two.
