I read some comments worrying about Zadarov's disipline. He seemed to have a normal amount of penalties that one would expect from defensmen. He was not the worst of a mostly dysfunctional D- Corps in Chicago, but he couldn't really cover for the many mistakes that the youngsters would make. Also, I have mentioned elsewhere, that Colliton's hybrid coverage plan was crap, given the skills of the players he had to work with.
I am neutral on the decision to let Zadarov move on, but, it seemed clear that he wasn't in the long term plans, and there was some in the Organization that wouldn't have been surprised to see him drafted as a Kraken.
Defensively, last year was awful, and, the thing that saddens this fan, is the apparent Organizational love for Murphy, who, is in my subjective opinion, completely useless.

That was a long highlight package. So many hits and a lot of one time blasts from the point. He might have the best slap shot on the Flames.
Hope Darryl can mold him into Regher. He also reminds me of Chara, maybe Looch can tell him what made Chara so successful.

What's impressive about all those hits is that player being hit is completely eliminated from play but Zadorov remains on his skates (except for maybe once).
This is good if you want to be a team that generates chances off counter attacks.
Zadorov is going to become a fan favorite because of the hits he delivers. He’s going to add a dimension sorely missing with this team.
I agree and I have been hoping he was a possibility to acquire since the season ended. Really happy he only cost a 3rd so now hoping for a decent contract. This guy is going to thrive playing for Darryl
