I don't think Bread would be involved in that trade though. Won't be a big enough contract to balance the money and isn't a 'futures' piece.

I think you underestimate the value of Andrew Mangiapane in a trade with Buffalo, this kid has all the intangibles of a great player and leader to head a refresh rebuild.

He's freshly 25. Drafted in the 6th Round and undersized - Started on the 4th line and grinded his way up to a top 6 Forward that could become a top line winger in the NHL. He's responsible two ways, fast, hard on the ice and a feisty little warrior. He's improved year over year and at the WHC he willed a young team Canada squad to gold and won MVP to boot.

I hate to say it but he has more value than Monahan, Dube ect. I bet you some teams would rather have him over Chucky.

Time to either put pen to paper or ship out.

8x56-60 Million. Landeskog took it, You can too. |
Landeskog wanted to stay in Denver because he has two spectacular line mates and it’s his best chance to win a Stanley Cup.

If Johnny is of the same mindset, he’s long gone.

Johnny controls his trade destination now. Completely.

Head a rebuild? Yeah this is a hefty glass of Kool-Aid you’re pouring here.

Vegas is over the cap and still need to sign Patrick and add a 7th defenseman. They need to move salary out just to do those things.
Buffalo doesn't seem to want to trade with NYR, and NYR doesn't seem willing to part with their young pieces.

Can't see Anaheim including Drysdale or Zegras. So their offer would probably include two or three of Comtois, Steel, Terry, or Jones plus a pick or two?

IIRC, he presents a 5 team trade to list.

He can simply put 5 teams that would have zero interest in trading for a rental.

And refuse to negotiate an extension.

Johnny has all the leverage now in his negotiations with Calgary.

My hope is that the fact he wasn’t traded before the deadline means that Treliving is very confident in a deal - perhaps even to the point they are just working out details like 7 versus 8 years or something.

I have no doubt that he has more trade value than Monny, because he’s healthy and cost controlled longer.

Dube is not even a discussion.

What he accomplished at the world championship told me a lot of what he’s made off.

I hope that’s true, but it’s now 8 years. And Trev is his personal chauffeur.

And the term is never details.
