On Coleman, think this is a solid signing. Much more value for a player that has a 200 foot game so if the scoring dries up he can still contribute in other ways.

Obviously knows how to win, has a good motor and drives play. PK is in need of another solid forward w Nordstrom gone.

After a few hours of coming to terms with the term I'm starting to get excited to see Coleman play. Trying not to watch highlight packages as they always get me way to pumped for new players cough*elliott*

One question, I see lots of comments saying he is Fast, Physical, smart and Skilled ....does he have any weaknesses at all? I like the idea of having another complete top 6er to complement Lindholm and Backlund.

typical UFA signing - a bit too high and a bit too long.

I think he's a good player though and have similar feelings that I had with the Markstromm/Tanev signing.

but the back end of the contract he doesn't have the full NMC...so that's a positive.

Given his goals to assists ratio, he isn’t exactly a playmaker or offensive wizard. More of a north-south player.

Surprise there has been no Hall comparisons yet. Not the players - just the contracts.

I know Hall has been a divisive name on CP, but I would never have thought the Flames would end paying more for Coleman that what Hall signed for.

Is this an assumption that Monahan is gone? Because there's no way he bumps down to 3rd line if he's healthy and still a Flame.
