I would have loved that deal for Edler 1 or 2 years.

Valimaki is gone in the Eichel trade so need another LHD

Pretty decent value and risk for a UFA. Flames probably would have had to offer term to get such a low AAV. I guess Edler like the west coast.

I don’t get the posters who wanted Edler. 35 years old, 8 assists, better defensively last year than in previous years but that was largely due to being paired with Schmidt. $3.5 seems like a lot even for one year.
