I've always liked Johnson. I don't know what his contract situation is like, but it seems like a good deal by the despicable Blackhawks organization.

Isn’t Seabrook just on perpetual LITR?

I really want Tampa to fall apart. I hope they're forced to trade away all their support players and then just crumble.

It's also a good trade for Tampa. Seabrook is on Robidas Island, so it's basically costing them a 2nd to dump 5M+ in salary.

Does Seabrook have the itchies also?

Nah, he’s actually physically broken.

It'll be interesting to see what Johnson does of given a bigger role with the hawks. I always thought the Flames should snagged him at some point.

That sweet sweet LTIR space the Lightning crave.

Tampa now gonna use Seabrook's LTIR space to get Eichel somehow because the world isn't fair.

Interesting for both teams. Tampa gets the cap space now and Hawks seem to be loading up for another run.

three more years at $5M. May be lower risk than whatever Blake Coleman will get tomorrow

I know this is not the thread but honestly sucks how little the Flames have done so far. Other GMs are making moves to improve their team (whether it works out or not) while Treliving continues to work hard without getting anything done.

Johnson was pretty under par last year. We’ll see if he can rebound.

Until Eichel is elsewhere, I’m 100% okay with that being Tree’s main focus. It’s a franchise changing trade. No more of these small tinkering around the edges style deals. Go for the big game. It’s all about Eichel.

Patience sir. A person who knows their job could be in jeopardy in the next 8-10months they will for sure be making moves. Could be a trade or an FA signing but I expect tomorrow something will happen.

This is a really good trade for both teams. Creative move by Tampa too clear cap space. I am surprised by how much Chicago is improving, I wonder what else they will do
