Well, Burke is likely doing his buddy a favour if Lucic's contract can be considered. Even if the Flames eat up a portion of that it would help immensely. It doesn't pass the smell test because that contract is among the worst in the league.

Guessing the Pens would want to dump Matheson if they make that deal and he has 5 years left on his deal as opposed to 2 for Lucic
