As much as every player wants to go to Vegas, that management team has been ruthless with some of their players.

Volatility and some huge contracts.

Me thinks they are going to take a run at Landeskog here.

Man, I’m over Vegas already. My 2nd most hated team at the moment.

What I find very weird is that both Chicago and New York send letters to the fans declaring a rebuild and then in 2 years they decide that is enough and go all in

Eichel makes more sense. They need centers. Like really need centers.

Or making the classic mistake of trying to kick open the window too soon.
I imagine they see an opportunity to maybe squeeze another run or two out of Kane.

This deal was made possible by the Oilers for letting us dump the aging and overpaid Duncan Keith. Thanks again, Kenny!

While I think it's classless not to give Fleury a call to notify him and thank him for his services I do think ruthless management is the way to go. Way too many NHL GM's get emotionally attached to players and prospects.

Imagine being Colorado, losing to Vegas in the playoffs and then having your captain go and sign with them in the off season.
Ouch.
I would bet on Eichel though.

Fleury might have been the most popular Knight?

Vegas has room to take back Neal now. And maybe Koskinen too!

They're still in the 'Honeymoon' period though. They can get away with a lot.

I'm intrigued to see Vegas the next couple years. They have really kind of moved away from the culture that made them successful in their first couple seasons, and that team is starting to get old.
Pacioretty - 32
Marchessault - 30
Smith - 30
Stone - 29
Karlsson - 28
Martinez - 34
Pietrangelo - 31
Lehner - 30
Outside of Theodore (25) and Tuch (25) that team is getting old pretty quickly.
And all of the young pieces they acquired through the expansion draft have been traded (Glass, Suzuki, Brannstrom), and really only Krebs and Brisson look to be coming up through the pipeline.

I'd rather have Landeskog. Probably cheaper and almost certainly better.

This could really hurt the relationship between the team and the management in Vegas.

I think the concept of class is overused in this quarters. Certainly nobody would want to find out that way, but there are probably many reasons this would happen. It doesn't reflect as a lack of class on the organization though. Totally overused without knowing what happened. Frankly I don't care to even know what happened - it's no big deal.
As for the trade, if Fleury retires, that really sucks. He's not old, so I just wonder if he has a peaceful lifestyle and just wants to call it a day. I'd like to see him in the Olympics though.

That was a pretty fluffy response from a usually hyperbolic Allan Walsh. He should be in full blown twitter rage right now.
