Stralman, Kolyachonok, 2024 2nd to Arizona for 2023 7th

Pierre LeBrun
@PierreVLeBrun
Anton Stralman has agreed to waive his NTC to facilitate a trade to Arizona. Believe Florida and Arizona finalizing a trade now. Trade call still pending.
Stralman, 34, has one year left on his deal at $5.4 million AAV
@TSNHockey @TheAthletic

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
FLA/ARIZ deal is Stralman, Vladislav Kolyachonok (52nd in 2019), and a 2nd in 2024 for a 7th in 2023. @PierreVLeBrun had Stralman approval

Florida going for it. I imagine this is them paying Arizona to take Stralman so that they can turn around and sign Suter.

Arizona is literally fielding an entire team of cap dumps and have no one signed for next season LOL

Other than the textbook weaponization of capspace, it is going to be really entertaining to watch the Coyotes when the team has only pride, legacy and future contracts to play for. They could be horrible, or they could be a Cinderella team for the whole season.

it's smart asset management in a way. Letting teams pay you for taking on bad contracts is something more rebuilding teams should do.

Arizona is going to be interesting to watch next season.

Suck for two years, draft high, and sign Auston Matthews in 2024. Solid game plan.

It would be hilarious if the Coyotes plan to yank for Wright back-fired and this group of cast-offs/bad contracts somehow formed into a competitive team… but for only one year.

I don't see any way they aren't one of the worst teams post salary cap. I think it's plausible that Buffalo could be a surprising Cinderella team because at least they are relying on young players and maybe Mittlestadt, Cozens and Dahlin go ham.

I really hope the Coyotes Major League/Raider this and win the Cup. That would be so fantastic. Keller, Chychryn, Kuemper (he is still there, right?), plus a bunch of deplorables - what a great movie it will be...

Is FLA a budget team or are they clearing room foe some big fish like Hamilton perhaps?

You have to wonder why Seattle isn't in on any of these?

Stralman looked good the few times I saw him last season. Maybe he can't handle an 82 game schedule but he should be an effective part time top6 veteran D. I've always been a fan of his intelligence.

could not imagine being a season ticket holder in Phoenix/glendale and being asked to pay to see this mess 40 times per year

With Ekblad and Weegar I doubt they are after a RHD. I do think Coach Q wants Ryan Suter to round out their top 4 though.

Francis is completely missing out. ARI is going to have more picks in the first couple rounds then Seattle will in the entire draft.

Because I’m sure they are still asking for ridiculous prices. Arizona and the free market kicking Francis and his plans butt.

I'm always amazed when I hear his name. I can't believe he's still playing. it seems like ages ago, I was hyped that Calgary seemingly stole him from Toronto. However, that joy quickly turned to horror as the Flames traded him for peanuts a couple of months later.
