Getzlaf leaving Anaheim doesn't make any sense to me. Of course, Modano leaving Dallas didn't make any sense to me either, and yet, that happened.

Is anyone credible actually suggesting that he'll go UFA? I saw his name trending on Twitter yesterday, but as far as I could tell, the only source of the rumour was Shane O'Brien.

I never thought that Getzlaf would move. I wonder what it is - money, term or fit?

I would like to get him here as the Ryan replacement, and maybe have him on the 2nd PP... but of course it has to be cheap with no term. Makes me wonder why its happening now.

Interesting. Flames were rumored to be high on Ritchie in his draft year. Do they reunite the brothers?

Nick Ritchie would be a good add. He has the Ritchie belligerence with a lot more skill than Brett.

Michael Bunting expected to hit the market, was a Group 6 UFA from Arizona.

25 years old, thrived in the AHL for the last few seasons before scoring 10 goals and 13 points in 21 games with the Coyotes this season. Could be an interesting target. Drafted by Flames VP Don Maloney.

I was surprised Bunting wasn't taken by Seattle actually, but I guess they preferred the 4th rounder, or talked to him and didn't think he'd sign?

I don't think he'll get big bucks, if he wants to sign on a show me deal, I'd rather try him out than more Simon/Lievo/Nordstrom/etc types.

Travis Yost proposes Marner to Buffalo for Rasmus Dahlin.
The Flames don’t have a young stud D-man to offer, but maybe a package of a signed Gaudreau with one of Anderson, Hanifin or Valimaki? Balanced as needed with picks

Buffalo would be nuts to trade Dahlin.

My guess he gets a PTO to some club. Think he will be playing in Europe very soon.
