A lot of what I do depends on what section I'm sitting in. Where (approx) are your seats?

One rule: Stand up if the Flames score. I hate when people just sit there and clap.

For that part of the Dome, if you want canned beer head up the stairs to the restaurant to buy them. Saves you from the effects of heroin beer, and gives you a few more options than just Canadian.
Also, your shortest lineup washrooms will be all the way at the top right by section 318.
For food, BP's has short lineups right at the start of the intermissions, so if you are making multiple stops then hit BP's first. The burger place at the Dome- don't do it! I affectionatlely call it playing burnt burger roulette.

Not a concern. I wake my kids when I watch on tv and they score... and they are on the second floor and I am in the basement.

Can you take the cans to the seats? I assume they put it in a plastic cup?
Thanks for the other tips.
What about warmup? Can you go to lower sections? What time to show up to catch the warmup?

Please leave/return to your seat during stoppages in play. I hate missing a play because someone couldn't wait 45 seconds to go get another beer.

I'll give you some advice/rules as a former usher.
- Wait in the entrance to your section while the play is going on. Wait for a whistle then head to your seat.
- Don't leave your seat in the middle of the play, wait for the whistle.
- Stand up for peope walking by in your row. Don't be lazy and just slide your legs to one side, that's how your beer gets kick over when I walk by.
Sounds easy, but lots of people have problems.

Yes, there's plastic cups there. Oh, and if you put a lid on your plastic cup, punch out one or two of the straw hole trianngle thingys. That way it won't foam up all over the place.

Sometime you can, sometimes the usher checks. If you do, be prepared to move at a moment's notice. There's nothing worse than getting to your seats with your hands full, and then having to expalin to the person in your seats that the 300s are above the 200s.

Tim Hortons sells tea for $1.10 - cheapest anywhere in the city.
Please stay until the end of the game. Trying to "beat traffic" by leaving three minutes from the end of the game just irks me.
And for your wife: I hesitate giving away this secret but the lineups for womens washrooms are the shortest in the narrow sections of the main concourse - I think one of them may be near 210?
Have fun!!

I love pocketdawgs...this is pretty much all I ever eat when I go to the games, and of course the malts...someone already mentioned that one also.
cheer, boo, jump, cry, yell and just have fun!
I hope your wife is a beer drinker, the highballs and other options are bizarrely overpriced.
