Game cancelled for tonight.

Might be a blessing considering the pitching situation.

Make up double header on August 7th.

Game has been postponed. Again despite last nights game I was looking forward to sitting and watching this one.

Praise be. One less against the Sox after last nights outing and bullpen clearance sale is a blessing.

Guess we will get the exact same amount of enjoyment out of tonight's game as we did last night lol.

Whew. That's a relief.

That's not a spot where I want Hatch getting his first start.

Now they get to make the game up in TO where the stadium isn't hijacked by idiot Red Sox fans and hopefully they've added some key pieces.

Of course, by that time it might be Sale we have to face instead of Richards sooooo....

OFFICIAL: We’ve traded RHP Joel Payamps to the Royals in exchange for cash considerations.

Just curious, who decides on when a PPD occurs and when the make-up game is played? I guess I'm wondering why there is no double header today since the scheduled game is already an evening game (as in they are not messing up "getaway day" where they were going to play a day game).

My understanding is that it's the home teams manager that gets to make the decision the day of. But the second he hands over the lineup card it turns to the MLB and the umpiring crew to make the decision.

I also don't understand why it wasn't a double header scheduled for today. Unless the forecast wasn't looking good for today and they didn't want to risk two make up games. Either that or the possibility of generating more revenue by having another game at Rogers Centre.

Payamps was a waiver wire pick up, accrued some value in the majors this year, and then swapped for some cash. From the lens of the Jays management this is exactly how they approach managing their team. Incremental value gains. There must also be 40 man roster implications, rather than lose him for nothing, get some cash.

They must have packed up the Jays offense and sent it on it's way to Toronto already.

I feel like the Red Sox are the most elite team I've ever seen when it come to hitting in a 0-2 or 1-2 count.

This is why I was hesitant to put any stock in the Texas series. That team is awful and was more curious how they’d do off real pitching.

At some point this Jays team will have to stop treading water and go on a sustained run, because these guaranteed loss nights against divisional opponents is going to be increasingly hard to overcome.

In my humble opinion Bo Bo should have had that single up the middle.

Garret Richards sucks but as per usual the Jays is either feast or famine.
