Laryea needs to get a shot off there

Can’t wait until September when we have Davies bombing down one wing and Buchanan down the other

Canada looking quite good although not really anything overly dangerous.

This US kit is garbage.

My man crush on Tajon Buchanan is growing with each passing game. Can't wait to see him and Davies together in World Cup qualifying.

yeah, Buchanan has impressed me for sure... that right foot was just a little off, but very quick move

Canada has a chance here with the US down a man due to injury

Good grief Wheeler, you should know what a goal kick signal looks like

5 minutes added time what a joke. Should have been 13.

Thought Canada really played well apart from the obvious. A moment of madness at the start and some poor play in the final third was the difference. Frustrating not to get a result.

Far more positives than negatives in this one. Frustrating they couldn’t break down the US block. Buchanan is really special.

Horrific start but really controlled the match from the middle of the first half on.

Hope someone at CSA calls out the reffing because that was a disgrace

Frustrating. Canada looked decent after about the first 20 minutes though. Officiating was… concacaf calibre. If Canada had come out ready to play it would’ve helped.

Buchanan must be playing himself out of mls with his performances.

For sure, he'll be gone soon. Apparently his club just turned down an offer from Lens in Ligue 1.

It's a shame WC qualifying is more interesting (and important) than the Gold Cup. Maybe one day we'll have a true Americas tournament with N & S America competing in a 16-team tourney. Alas.

Speaking of which, has there been any news on where the Ocho matches will be held in Canada?

Been discussed. The US and Mexico have no interest in participating unless the US hosting every time and the South American teams aren't doing that. They have their own tradition and rotation.

And no, there has been no news other than Canada's 2nd match vs the US will be in Nashville.

Not good news for the quarterfinals. Sounds like Akinola tore his ACL...

I only saw a quick clip of the Akinola injury but was it as dirty as it seemed. Looked like the guy tackled him on the knee, I thought it was very dirty.

Akinola, David, Larin and Davies all missing. While that is brutal, and really hurts our chances going forward, it's pretty incredible we can still trot out guys like Hoilett, Buchanan and Cavalini up front. 10 years ago we'd be salivating at that proposition.

I expect this means Corbeanu will get some minutes as well.

Hopefully Larin is ok by September, and Akinola was likely just depth for WCQ anyway.
