It feels like in 80% of their transactions other teams are doing them a favor.
Other GMs need to stop this and play harder ball with these new twits on the block.

Isn’t that what a good chunk of it is. I replied to a comment that basically insinuated that. It just gets repetitive constantly hashing the same thing every thread, even though the actual rumors are the exact opposite.
Definitely up for debate, and a healthy one, that Tre has a different valuations than most of the league, and those haven’t really worked out so far.

I hate the Oilers with the passion of 1000 burning suns, and I only hate Vegas with the passion of about 30 burning suns.
We don't have insufferable Vegas fans walking yapping around us on a daily basis.

By that logic you’d expect Seattle to perform just as well. I think GMs learned their lesson to not pay for protection. That Vegas is successful is on the other 30 GMs and there behaviour before and after the expansion draft.
Getting 10 number 4 defensemen and 17 third liners and 3 backup goalies should not make a cup contending team.

I wouldn't call this one a favor. IMO the Knights got worse with this trade.

I doubt it. Somehow I'm betting that Nolan Patrick really finds his game in Vegas.

Patrick was plain bad last year. He was given sheltered minutes with PP time on the top and 2nd unit, given decent linemates for parts of the season, and still didn't produce. There were no reports of any migraine issues during the season; no reports of concussion symptoms slowing him down. He's just bad now.
The Flyers made the right call to cut him loose, and let someone else take a chance on him. The fact that Patrick was a 2nd overall pick gives him more perceived value.

My close friend tried to brainwash his kid into becoming a Flames fan. The other day he had a Golden Knights hat on…. Sigh… kind of understandable I guess though.
This is what happens when you’re bad for years, Flames.

People realize there are 32 teams in the NHL, right? About six of them were involved in trades for significant roster players over the last few days. That means 80 per cent of them weren’t. I guess 80 per cent of GMs in this league just sit on their hands and don’t know how to get a deal done.

How many non-playoff teams have a 37-year-old captain in the first place?
You start applying filters, you quickly get down to a sample size of one.

This isn't aimed at you, but I find it funny that certain people hate Vegas for doing what the league allowed them to do, but they are ok with the Lightning doing what the league allowed them to do. Both teams were just following league rules. Hate "Mr USA" Bettman instead.

I have a Flyers buddy that calls him the biggest bust in Flyers history. Always talks about how he can't believe how bad a 2nd overall pick could be. I haven't talked to him yet but I imagine he's probably drunk right now celebrating.
