What does this mean for the expansion draft? Can they still protect Bennett?

Yes. Probably means they lose another player like Accari.

Great deals. Big fan of both signings for the AAV and the term.

As for EE's question, yeah, they can still keep Bennett. My protection list always included those two as well as Bennett:

Forwards-7
Barkov
Huberdeau
Duclair
Verhaeghe
Bennett
Vatrano
*Wennberg (if he re-signs) or Hornqvist

Defense-3
Ekblad
Weegar
Forsling

Goalie-1
Bobrovsky

Notably exposed:
Acciari
Marchment
Lammikko
Stralman
Gudas
Nutivaara

Acciari seems like the pick no? Maybe Gudas?

I think they may take Dreidger if they go the UFA route. Montour and Juulsen are possible as well. (I haven't followed his career, but recall him as a recent high pick)

It’s between Driedger and Gudas.. and probably will depend on their other D/G options out there.

They should just be exposing Hornqvist in my eyes, but rumours seem to be that Driedger may be the choice?

Driedger would be an interesting pickup for sure. They have quite a few options in goal though, I believe.

When there are decent options, both player wise and cap wise, (Accari, Gudas) I cant see them selecting an UFA (Driedger).

Nice, I've been hoping Duclair would get a multi-year deal. Guy deserves it.

Montour has been really bad and I can’t see an analytics driven team like Seattle picking him

I’m going to guess Gudas because RHD are valuable and Vegas did well by loading up on D men then selling off the ones they didn’t want like Emelin, Methot, Schlemko

Good to see Duclair find a home.

Im guessing the Kraken take Drieger...in fact i think they go goalie heavy and then make deals with them.

Lots of teams looking for them this year.

Duclair has 194 points in 396 games. I wonder why he has had so much trouble sticking anywhere until now. Seems like a consistently productive top 6 forward.

I guess when you're in that 20 goal/40 point area, teams feel like they can replace you with a prospect?

I think it was just that he was wildly inconsistent. When he is on, he can be really effective in the offensive zone, but when he is off, he is practically non-existent. After 2 fairly solid seasons, it looks like he is getting past that.
