If you think Tre is still the right guy for the job, what exactly gives you that feeling? Are we supposed to just sit around waiting for another 2-3 years hoping he finally strikes gold? At this point 2019 is looking more like an outlier than any sort of grand plan the GM had.

80+% of the fanbase seemed fairly content with BT about 7 months ago. Which isn't to say totally happy with him or the results, but most were optimistic that the team was on the right track.
I've disagreed since early 2020, but I don't think firing him [right now] will help at all.

Now that the playoffs are over, hopefully we will see some more rumours and player movement. Isn't that kind of the unwritten rule? Wait until cup is given out.

Might have to wait for expansion for teams to be able to take on players.

Whenever the Flames ownership piece together this 2 piece puzzle. It didn’t work in Phoenix, why wouldn’t turning it upside down not soar here?
*Sigh*

Seriously, they don't have the cap space, they don't have the prospects in development, and they don't have the picks. They need the young players on cheap contracts to keep the team afloat. What you see is what you have. Until they start peeling off the big salaries, nothing changes." The link here is obvious. The Flames don't have a ton of young players like Valimaki and Dube they can dump and then replace with similar bodies from the minors, and they don't have any on the horizon thanks to Treliving's mismanagement of our assets. We need every single pick, and more, to restock the system with players who have a hope of playing in the NHL. We may have three extra picks beyond what we are allotted by the league, but we need all of those to try and build some organizational depth.

Really wasnt responding to you...but OK.
Do the Flames have 9 picks over the next 3 rounds of the draft .....or not?
Read back...its quite literally ALL I said and in doing so pointed out that
IF the club needs a pick to close a deal, they have extras to do so with.
Full stop.
Im really not interested in arguing a made up point. IE..goalposts moved.
This place has become effing toxic that way...not pointing at you personally, but jeezuz h tap dancing christ...can we please discuss what people actually say instead of what others want to believe is being said?
Please?

Prediction: Tampa doubles down on their cheating strategy and trades for eichel. He has his surgery and is out on LTIR for the regular season. Then he is healthy “just in time” for the playoffs.

All other fan bases then focus on how tampa cheated instead of the fact that they made the playoffs with both Eichel and Kucherov (who they put back) on LTIR the whole season.

Dreger speculating the Oilers are after Hyman and may look to acquire his rights.
Please Kenny spend picks and give Hyman 6x6

There are 16 teams that made the playoffs without kucherov or eichel. It’s like adding a superstar to the roster after building an already good team that has no cap space. There are lots of teams that consistently make the playoffs… imagine if you could just add a $10 million dollar player to any of those teams come playoff time.
