Enrique lost it the moment he let Morata take a PK.
I'm also curious, how are they going to repair and prepare that pitch for tomorrow after 120 min of football?

It was a great game to watch as a genuine neutral. I'll admit I'm more partial to Italy than Spain but I really didnt care much either way.
That being said though, Spain needs to start training their players to operate as strikers. They're generating tons of chances but unless they can practically walk it into the net they havent had anyone clinical at finishing since....
Since who? Torres? David Villa? I dont want to go so far back as Raul.
They need someone who is going to cash the chances they create.
I'd say Spain were the better team on the night, but the Italians showed a lot of experience.
And lets be honest, Italy won that shootout exclusively on the gamesmanship of Chiellini at the coin-toss.
Everyone knows the Italians cheat at games of chance!

Why? Why would you pick Morata?? You could pick almost anyone else!
You know he's terrible at shootouts. Its statistically documented at this point!

Honestly his behaviour did make me feel more confident.
Your captain is out there joking and just hamming it up. He couldn’t have been more relaxed and loose.
While the Spanish captain looked so nervous. Plays such a factor when it comes to PKs.
Also Morata will get the blame but IMO the bigger miss is Olmo. Italy miss the first one and you have a chance to put all the pressure on them. You make that to go up 1-0 and Italy pretty much can’t miss another one. But instead he hammers it over the bar and the Italian team was able to exhale.

Absolutely, the Olmo miss is why Morata was under pressure. And its a real shame because Olmo had an outstanding match otherwise, probably Man of the Match.
I did love Chiellini bear-hugging Alba at the coin-toss.

Same lineup as ukraine except Saka in for sancho
I still don't like it, we should be attacking every team left with the talent up front, but I can at least understand the reasoning today, maehle and hojbjerg have been Denmark's biggest creators all tournament, so Saka on the right to help with maehle should nullify that alongside walker.
Then attack them through the center, and on the left with shaw

May the team who has previously won Euros win this semi-final.

those England lineup leaks are pretty crazy. Ornstein (and others) always has the changes hours before the games and they have always been correct so far.

Crazy idea - have at me!
What if when a game goes to penalties, you get one shot for every shot you had on goal during the game? Would that encourage more positive football, and reduce the number of shoot-outs? Give an edge to the team that carried the play during the game.

Coaches would probably play even more defensive.
Keep them to 0 shots and they get 0 shots in the shoot-out!

It may also not be clear what qualifies as a shot on goal.

Only way that's better is if it happened 60 minutes later.

Entertaining match so far.
Danish back line fell asleep a little on the nice through ball by Kane.
