Deserve is a strong word. Didn't they only score twice in group stage?

Germany didn't exactly deserve anything either as they didn't look great except for the Portugal match.

Can only play who's in front of you and England was better today

I like this England squad, they're young and have some great talents. I think they're 2-4 years away from their peak and will be a real force in a couple years.

I suspect that they'll open things up in the quarterfinals and play some more attractive football. I really think Southgate nailed his tactics today for who his opponent was
