Im cheering for the Habs. The tears from the Oilers & Leafs fans are going to be delicious.
This rag tag team from Montreal has a cup appearance before McDavid & Matthews is already amazing.

No one is stalking you; get over yourself. But it is kind of hard to ignore seeing you sulking and whining in every thread about the same things over and over again, even if not germane to the topic at hand.

Wouldn’t it be something to sign Getzlaf and Perry into the bottom 6? I could see Sutter wanting the size and leadership to carry this roster through rather than panic trading.
Edit: to be clear not inferring Sutter is the guy who is making the GM decisions but I do think management will consider his thoughts on the roster. Also considering Sutter saw those two play many times over his years in LA I could see him having a pretty good book on the two.

Tampa didn't cheat, they legally benefitted from the NHL LTIR rules. Cheering for the lightning to piss off all the whiners.

Yet if the Flyers were in the final against a team that did the same thing you would be crying harder than anyone, guaranteed. You are not fooling anyone here so you might as well not bother trolling

Keep dreaming.
I think it is abundantly obvious by now that Corey Perry takes joy in crushing the hopes and dreams of Western Canadian NHL teams. Why did he sign at nearly League minimum for a one-season show in Montréal? For the chance to play 27-games v. Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Next year he will return to a non-Canadian Pacific Division team to continue living the dream of inflicting misery on his rivals.

The Canadiens were the favourite team of my late father so I cheer for them knowing how much he would have enjoyed seeing them beat the crap out of the Leafs along the way.

It is convenient that their top two forwards were in LTIR of much or all of the season and they were magically healed and available for game 1 of the playoffs when the cap is no longer an issue. Too many people jealous that their team can't have such luck have automatically convicted Tampa Bay of cap circumvention and have deemed this to be the most heinous form of cheating ever in order to justify their hatred for the team.

They didn't cheat.
I still want them to lose though....badly.
On top of which its impossible for me not to respect the hell out of the Habs for the way they play the game. Hard, heavy, grinding and for each other.

I would have been cheering for any Canadian team, outside of Edmonton and Vancouver tbh...it would be awesome to see a Canadian team win the cup again.
I'd probably have been pretty torn if NYI got in, as I do like them too...but with TB winning, my rooting interests are pretty easily made for me.

They didn’t cheat, but were rather unethical imo.
You’re telling me that if Kucherov absolutely needed that hip surgery, they couldn’t do it a few weeks AFTER they won the cup late September of 2020? Nope, not the Lightning. Instead, they wait a couple of weeks prior to the beginning of the 2021 season to announce Kucherov to have hip surgery and won’t be back until the 2021 playoffs. Then, we see Kucherov skating around the ice since mid March, but still on LTIR. Then, they go all in and acquire Savard with that extra cap space they’ve got!
Wasn’t cheating, there’s no rule about this. But, BriseBois and crew knee exactly what they were doing. Even if it’s within the rule book, it’s still slimy to me, and it helps I hate the ****ing Lightning.

Can you imagine any other team losing a player of Kucherov’s quality and still making the POs? And you’re telling me Savard is the big difference on that team?
The LTIR timeline for recovery was approved by the league.

And yet he was dazzling teammates at practice two months before the playoffs started. If you believe he couldn't return until the playoffs started I have some tropical beachfront in Greenland to sell you.
