Speculates a signed Parayko or Kyrou lead package could get it done.
Not interested maybe a signed Parayko+Kyrou but that makes our forward Corp so much weaker

Might be worth noting that before Hamilton was dealt to Carolina, the Flames looked at a swap with the Blues with Parayko coming back.

O'Brien said he has heard Tkachuk wants out of Calgary "numerous times from other players."
Kouleas predicts Parayko and Tarasenko gets the deal done.

Also thought it was interesting during the same segment, host Steve Kouleus said "Tkachuk & Gaudreau gone?!?" So who knows what other rumor popped up. I didn't hear anything else.

Take Gio and trade him back to the Flames for a 1st when the Flames are in 7-10th place at the trade deadline.
Gio would be at least worth a 2nd as a trading deadline addition to most clubs.

And then you’d have to expose him and Seattle grabs him.

Well now, If smells like a blow up and feels like a blow up, maybe it's a blow up.
Moving Gaudreau and Chucky would definitely be a rebuild.

My gut feeling is that St. Louis gets back the best player in any of those scenarios. But given Tkachuk's contract situation and fast tracking to UFA status, this is the sort of deal we might be looking at.
I would try to squeeze a 1st out of them somehow. That might be too much to ask though.
Also, if the deal is quantity over quality, definitely wait until after the expansion draft.

Tarasenko full cap, Kyrou and a pick? I still somehow want to add Klim Kostin.

I'd rather Parayko. 6'6" RHD. Broken Tarasenko feels like a liability at this point

Hard to imagine a Tkachuk deal with the Blues where significant contract didn’t come back. And I don’t see where Parayko fits on the blueline unless Anderson gets moved.
I could see something around Schenn + Kyrou. The Blues would be looking to build a new second line around Tkachuk and Thomas. The Flames get a #2 C to replace Monahan and a young scoring RW. Of course six more years of term for 29 year old Schenn looks scary, but if the Flames are really in win now mode that’s a problem for future GM.

If Tkachuk wants out, send his ass to Buffalo for Eichel, not to STL where he wants to go lol.
Let him suffer in Buffalo for a while.

Since my Lanny 89 Jersey, I have owned 3 other jerseys. Phaneuf, Bennett and Tkachuk - if rumors are true, all obsolete. Who should I get next that y’all want traded?

Parayko and Tarasenko would be absurd. Why would Calgary trade its 23-year-old star for two 29-year-olds?

Does that sound like something Mark Giordano would say or even the types of words he would use? Gio would probably say something more along the lines of “pick your spots better” rather than “it can’t be a riot every night.” That sounds more like a Rasmus Andersson. He’s got a bit of a mouth on him at times and he’s certainly not the shy type either.
EDIT: For the record though, I like Andersson and I’m not suggesting to trade him. These are grown ass men and I think the press made a mountain out of a molehill as per usual. If anything, he might not be a fan of the coach. That little quip he gave Darryl about the lack of ice time stood out to me.
|
If those were the exact words used, then it was for sure Lucic, who would know better about riots than the Vancouver boy?
Also, if anyone could make Tkachuk to tone things down, it'll be the toughest guy in the league.

Because Calgary, for some inexplicable reason, believes they are a move or two away from contention, as they do every year despite evidence to the contrary.
Honestly, I don’t know why the Blues even consider this deal for a second. Tarasenko alone has more value than Chucky.
