Lehner is on year one of 5x5 though...it's not like they threw in a career backup or young guy. Lehner is their guy moving forward.

How has he been one the top goalies since arriving in Vegas when he lost the starting job? Heck, they were trying to trade him last summer smh.

This is such a dumb argument for suggesting that Fleury is not somehow an elite goaltender. Fleury started 36 games this year compared to Lehner's 19; won 26 compared to 13; registered a 1.98 GAA and a 0.928 SP, compared to 2.29/0.913; posted 6 shutouts compared to 1.

Please tell me again about how he lost his starters job?

Since 2017 Fleury is:
· 3rd in wins
· 5th in GAA
· 9th in starts
· 12th in save percentage
· 1st in shutouts

In the playoffs he is:
· 2nd in wins
· 3rd in starts
· 5th in save percentage

I don't think Perry would normally be interested in becoming a Flame but it wouldn't surprise me if he took notice of the praise Sutter and Treliving were giving him this season and considered a Flames offer if it were made.

A 4th line role with a couple of other rookies like Ruzicka and Gawdin at minimum salary would be fine with me. If Tkachuk stays I think learning a few things from Perry would be a good thing for him.
