Markstrom will be better in the long run

Habs are a nice story but they are about to get pounded

Kind of funny that the North Division started late and finished first.

Oilers, Leafs, and Jets were the proper order for these crap teams to be eliminated. Now the Habs can F off

I posted this on the first page... and I know it's the opposite of what actually happened, but this is even better. I figured the Jets were more talented and had a better goalie, so if anyone would get the sweep it would be them... I should have just wished for the ideal scenario right off the bat.

This is so much more fun.

The Oilers get to realize that they're so bad at hockey they got swept by a team that then got swept by the Montreal Canadiens... who I believe will by necessity play the winner of Vegas / Colorado and get utterly stomped into the ground, further emphasizing the no goodness of the Oil.

Meanwhile, the Leafs get to realize that they were one game, one goal, away from getting what would have apparently been more or less a free pass into the semifinals. After all, they outscored, outshot, outplayed Montreal in that first round series, so surely they too would have beaten this Jets team. But they lost. And next year they go back to having to deal with Tampa and Boston. They'll never get this chance again.

It's all so sweet.

Worst playoff series I can remember...Price wasn't even excited about winning an elimination game in round 2. I think he knows what's next.

That’s what i thought would happen at the beginning of the series with the Leafs. Then, for sure with the Jets. Look what happened. Habs got a fairy tale story but it wasn’t all in Price. They’ve got 3 forwards that were on 3 different championship teams.

I’d take two proven right shot forwards any day over a goalie who won’t provide any scoring.

I predicted Jets in 5 and damn was I wrong. At this point I’m hopeful the Habs will show well for Canada and take their next series to 7. Meh. I’d be pretty stoked if I was a Montreal fan.

The Leafs/Jets are not the Avs/Knights

Both teams were also missing top players

I also said moving forward, Perry's career is almost over. Let's not forget the Habs won 24 of 56 games they really shouldn't have even made the playoffs.

One day Perry will retire and some year afterwards Markstrom will have a better year than Toffoli. Shooting for the stars
