Handily dispatched their opponents? They went on a ten game overtime winning streak. It was amazing luck that they won like that.

Personally I'd find a North Division banner less cringey than our lone 'Northwest Division' banner. Whoopity frig, we finished 1st of 5 teams in the regular season once in 15 friggin years. And a few of those years it was only 4 team division (albeit COL was a powerhouse at the time).

There’s nothing cringeworthy about the division championship banner; that 2005-06 team was a dominant physical and defensive force with Vezina goaltending.
It’s good to look up and remember that group. They were a post away from the second round.
Having a ceremony to raise it, on the other hand...
