Watching the video makes me think about Tkachuk coming down the half-wall to blow up Kassian on multiple occasions. Of course, the difference being that the game wasn't already decided, Kassian wasn't injured, and Tkachuk doesn't really have the footspeed to gain enough momentum to result in a charge
Even if you ignore the point of contact (clean/dirty) debate, it was an over-the-top hit in a game that was over. 'My intent on that play is to try and negate a goal'. BS. Wasn't even looking at the puck. If you're trying to negate a goal you get your stick on the puck. His intent was to annihilate Evans because Schiefele was really frustrated.
Having said that, it is really disgusting if people are truly harassing his family with phone calls/online. Why are people such ignorant cowards? If I have issue with something somebody has done, what is accomplished by harassing their brother/spouse etc. Just trash, garbage people. Not acceptable, families of players shouldn't have to deal with that.
It is Montreal Fans. They kept the cops busy with a lot of phone calls demanding that Chara be arrested some years ago for his hit on Pacioretty.
As for Winnipeg losing 3 in a row now, it wouldn't surprise me. Dubois might not be 100%, Ehlers is playing well, but may not be 100%. Stastny may be out (and if he isn't, won't be playing at 100%). Yeah, this definitely makes it easier for Montreal.
However, Montreal kind of sucks. Wouldn't surprise me to see them lose 4 in a row right now anyway.
Just two poor teams. Whomever makes it to the 3rd round will have a fan base with puffed-out chests all off-season long, proclaiming themselves to be the next team in Canada to finally win the cup, only to suddenly wonder why their team is so damn awful in the regular season.
