Default Our new addition!

So that makes 2 Siberian Huskies! Our oldest, 9 months old is Inuk. The youngest 2 months old is Qimmiq. So far they've been getting along okay. There are moments when Inuk is a little rough and dominant over here but then the next minute they're eating from the same bowl, or Inuk is bringing a toy over to Qimmiq to get her to play.

I really like Husky's myself. I have a Samoyed and an Akita/Sheppard cross. I actually got the second dog because the first one got too used to my wife being home and when she went back to school full time he went through some serious separation anxiety. The two dogs are almost inseparable now. To be honest I don't find having two dogs much different than having one. In fact it probably takes up less time as the dogs entertain themselves most of the time. The only draw back is that if one gets sick and has to be put down early how will it affect the other one who is so used to having that best friend around all the time.

Puppies are really nice and all but they are also little hellions. Between them ripping everything apart, slicing up your hands or arms with their tiny razor teeth and generally never sleeping when you want to . . . they're pretty great I guess. Give me the adult dog any day of the week.

Very nice. How big do they get?

I have been looking for a Bulldog for a while but the commitment for walking it constantly puts a real hamper on things. Plus they are damn expensive.

They'll get around 50 lbs or so. They are very high energy dogs and need lots of exercise so they are a big commitment as well.

The older one almost looks like a Malamute.

Gotta love dogs...you could spend $100 on the various chew toys and bones out there, or you can just give them an empty water bottle that they'll love even more. I find that the most popular chew toy in my house at any time is whatever one dog decides he wants first. After that first descision is made they'll both fight over that same thing all day no matter what else is kicking around. Just like kids they want what they other one has.

how true is that. in our house the favourite dog treat is ice cubes. fine by me, the price is perfect!

Very fine looking dogs.

Here is a shot of our latest addition:

The picture was taken on 8 February; the litter was born the day before. Four boys and four girls and one of the little guys from that knotted bundle of puppiness is all mine. I've been desparately missing my borzoi, KOR, since he passed away on 5 October, 2005:

We can't wait until we can take one of these little guys home next month!
