They're horrible defensively. The eye test and analytics show they get hemmed in their zone constantly and if their goalie can't bail them out they have no chance.

There is nothing that can happen moving forward that makes the Leafs look better. Only the Oiler fans will pat themselves on the back for being swept by a team that keeps winning.

No one talks about how the Flames were beaten by the Western Conference champs last year or how they were beaten by a team that was clearly an emerging powerhouse in round 1 of 2019. All we hear is how that got their ass beat by an 8 seed and how they choked when they were 12 seconds away from a 3-1 lead

I rather tend to think they are a collection of players haphazardly mashed together who happened to benefit from the good fortune of facing the most historically inept bunch of chokers in the NHL in Round #1.

But the important part was MacLean telling us that Lowry played junior on Colby Cave's team but was the leading scorer.

Would love the Flames to have a player like this or Armia.
