I believe the word "bad" should be "delicious", but that's just my opinion, man.

The failure is worse. But the way the Leafs went out has to hurt so much more. Or rather, it would, if not for the fact that their fans must be expecting it, and numb to it, by this point.

Jeez, every team that I was hoping to win it all this season, has disappointed me. First off the Flames, the then Panthers and now the Leafs. At this point, I may have to cheer for the Canes or the Knights.

Oh, of all the teams left id rather Colorado won than any other. I have an irrational dislike for Vegas namely because theyll never experience the trials and tribulations of being a true expansion team like their brethren before them.

Cant stand any of the north division teams remaining.

TB, Boston are perennials and meh.

At least with colorado they went through their growing pains with their core and came out rosey afterwards. Their timeline gives me hope for the Flames.

What actual players did Dubas get? 7 games from Foligno in the POs (4 in the regular season). A goalie who played 4 regular season games. No one else who contributed anything.

They were stupid moves. A first and a fourth for a grinder. A third for a goalie who played 4 games and lost 3 of them. Good for him for beating Vancouver ver I guess.

The thing is, he had to address the depth forwards and the PK. And he did. And his top guys didn't give him anything. One goal in the series. Obviously it's not Tavares's fault he didn't produce, nothing to be done about that, but Marner and Matthews really have no excuse. Dubas gave them support, he gave them depth, such that if they played the way they'd played all season they'd have guys to help them carry the goals they can score to wins for the team for a deep run. And they didn't score the goals.

Their best forward was arguably Jason Spezza.

Oh there was a game tonight?
Who played?
Which sport is this?
Where am I?
Who am I?

Luckily didn't watch. True Leaf fans knew what was up. Being a Leafs fan is Sideshow Bob vs. rake.

Best thing to do is just lie down in the fetal position on the floor.

He got one depth forward that actually played and he paid for him like he was a top 6 guy.

Yep, Rittich wasn't even a backup in the playoffs

I disagree. At least with a sweep you know it’s going to be pretty tough after two games and nearly impossible after three games.

With a 3-1 lead you have hope every game.

Both are hilarious but I think blowing the 3-1 lead stings a lot more than getting swept.

The Maple Leafs Reddit is being changed to a Maple Leafs Meats subreddit.

People posting meats and commenting on it. Leaf fans have finally been pushed over the ledge and have lost it.

As a quasi-Bruins fan this was a real lose-lose of a series for outcomes. It’s hilarious it resulted in heart break and now the Habs are going to lose to the Jets. Which is too bad because I was hoping for Boston to crush one of these teams.

I think final 4 goes Colorado, Winnipeg, Carolina, Boston, and I really don’t think anyone beats the Avalanche this year for Cup #3.

You have to go all the way back to 2004 to see when the Leafs last won a series. 1st overall franchise centre. Franchise level UFA centre. Talented high picks. Finally built a better defence. They went out and addressed some of their toughness. They got their grizzled vets who are trying to win a cup to propel this team forward.

Lost yet again in the first round, in embarrassing fashion, to a team that seriously looked bad for almost the entire season minus the first 2 weeks of the season, and who went through a coaching change. Should have been easy pickings, but somehow, Toronto found a way to lose again.

Always bet Edmonton and Toronto to lose.
