I guess but on that play he jumps into the ice way too early and gets hit with the puck. He might not intentionally make a play on the puck but he ends up involved in the play.
I apologize for the crappy quality screenshot but this is right after the puck hits the extra man and as he is jumping back onto the boards. The Leaf at the face dot is about 20 feet from making a change. The Leaf inside the zone on the left of the image is also outside the 5 feet that they give them for line changes.
