Have a bad problem with rabbits eating our shrubs. Tried bobbex with mixed results. Besides fencing everything off, has anyone had luck with sprays or anything?
Also have a bad gopher problem. If anyone has access to UFA pellets I'd be willing to buy them off you.

We resorted to fencing for ours. This is the best stuff I've found:

I think ours is only 24" high though. Doesn't take much to stop them.

I leave carrots out for the rabbits, they eat that instead of the flowers now.

Uhh do they bring their friends and make family? How much carrot do you need to keep up with the demand...

I don't really have any experience, but I have a friend who had it (since sold the property) and he said it was amazing. There are a few people around me with it and I think it looks good. I had someone come and quote what it would be and I just couldn't justify the cost. I would like to do it one day, for a lot of reasons, but the price they were asking for the full deal was way more than I had expected.

I'm going to edge the flowerbed in pavers.... but the damn plastic edging is on track to cost more than the paver stones (I need a double row of edging on the outside/inside)
Most stuff at HD/Lowes is about $2.50/ft. Burnco has some stuff that's 1.6 /ft. Anyone know of somewhere less expensive than this?
Why is this stuff so expensive?

Building materials are outrageous now. A sheet of OSB is over $80 USD right now. A roll of 12-2 romex is $250!

The most I've seen at once was 4 of them on my lawn. The two usual suspects and I have a good understanding now, they eat the carrots and have a nap after. My flowers stay intact and I don't chase them away. Half a carrot a day seems to work, so it's not hard to keep up with the demand.

So I hate lawn care, and the thought of pesticides/herbicides. However...
I have these brown patches of dead grass that I think are the result of these tiny little grub things. Right now, there’s thousands of these really really small white bugs just under the surface.
I also have a serious weed issue. Top dressed and reseeded part of the lawn last year, and the same part has more weeds than I’ve ever seen.
Suggestions on products to use? No pets anymore, so not an issue.

Anyone know someone who can do a spring maintenance on sprinklers and fix an external water valve that brings the water from the pipes inside of the house to the outside? The quotes we've been getting have been $140+ for sprinklers and $140 + parts for the valve fix. Seems expensive but I have no idea....maybe that's the cost.

Used some scrap lumber, and the PEX and poly I used for the same purpose last year, to build some easily removable greenhouse covers for my garden boxes.
Love getting projects done having spent $0.

We had 9 trees (8 of them spruce) taken out last year. Since, we’ve brought in screened loam and seeded, but it hasn’t really taken.
Does anyone have a recommendation of a company that will come and get our patchy and weedy lawn going for us and give us a lawn to be proud of at a reasonable price?
I’m tired of our neighbours telling us what we’re doing wrong without offering any real help.

This year I think I've had it with our ants. I've tried everything under the sun, liquid bait, diatomaceous earth, ground stakes, etc. - you name it and I've tried it.
I think it's time to go professional. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm worried I'm going to pay someone to do the same things I'm doing and get the same (lack of) results.

You tried any of the "good" insecticides? Generally these are ones not at the Home Depots of the world cause they don't want people overusing and ruining the environment. Usually the type you'd get commercially or from the States.

Use Sevin liquid. You might have to do it a few times to get them all. Key is you gotta kill the queen.
You'll probably have to go to one of the garden centers.
