Come on, don't be a coward and just go for the 1 for 1 odds. If you truly believe you'll win the bet, put your money where your mouth is.

Yes I'm being the coward lol, the one who has stepped up and is entertaining a wager. If I didn't believe I had a chance to win the bet I wouldn't be entertaining it. Seems as though Dino is worried now. I can't believe an additional $50 is making him think twice on going up against an expansion team, but ya I'm being the coward lol.
PS. I just lost $750 betting on the Oilers for 3 consecutive OTs, as a superstition. I'm not cowering over $100 but you still have to be smart about it.

I am willing to make a 1:1 bet
You are the one who wants odds for something you think is more likely than not to happen

You are not entertaining the bet that was proposed and you are acting like you are the one with the original offer. You ever tried to imply that dino7c was scared off, when the truth is, you are the one avoiding a straight up bet (the best kind if you actually believe what you are saying).
I would guess that 1 for 1 odds is scaring you off. I'm not willing to bet on that though, because someone will probably call me out

Lol, what makes your position different? Why do you need better odds if you are confident in your position?
Take the bet or not, who cares. Trying to get better odds illustrates your cowardice.

I said "I'm interested" what are the terms and stakes. I'm supposed to agree to the first thing he says? I hope you don't negotiate at work lol.
Why would 1 for 1 odds scare me off? Whether its on my terms or his, if I lose, either way I pay $100. Does that make any sense to you? My god lol.
If anything Dino is worried. His payout is $100 regardless, he doesn't want chance losing an extra $50? I swear some of you make no sense lol.

You can't be for real
I offered 1:1 and you backed down...its fine, like you I wouldn't bet on Seattle either.
Its fun for some of you guys that always bash the Flames to say you think Seattle will be better but when push comes to shove here we are. IF you actually believed it you wouldn't need odds.

I could be confident in Buffalo beating Colorado, still doesn't mean when I go make a wager I'm getting 1 to 1 odds lol. Not to sure what is so hard to understand here. But sure yes I'm a coward, I'm so worried about losing $100 regardless of whether its on his terms or mine lol.
1.5 to 1 is on the table. Its on the table till opening night.
Carry on with the expansion conversation. I know we hijacked the thread.

I offered you 1.5 to 1 and you backed down lol. You see how we can go in circles here. Let me know if you want to chance losing an extra $50. You surely can't be that worried about an expansion team LOL

You offered me odds that favor you on something you supposedly think is more likely, that is why you are being called out by multiple people.
If you can't do 1:1 you don't like your horse all that much

dino7c offered 1 for 1 and you are the one who backed down. How can you not see that? I guess you could always take this instead:

1:1 stands for anyone who actually thinks Seattle will be better and isn't just blowing smoke
might be fun

When the premise is “the rules favour Seattle so much they will have a better team”, no.

True, if people are confident why am I asked to bend? I am not making a bet where the other person has an out that doesn't seem fair.
I will be happy to revisit things in September though
Current bet offer is until the draft...first come first serve

Well New Era’s original point was that Seattle would have better depth (quite possible) and better development system (impossible to predict) and better coaching (nope). Not actually more points. There is some logic, they won’t have high end talent but should be able to piece together a deep roster. Yay.
Then some other dude who hasn’t stated an opinion on Seattle just sounds like he’s trying to flash his wad of cash. He was made the offer of an even up bet and declined. He hasn’t actually said what he thinks about Seattle, has he?
