Just heard on the Fan that Mangiapane has 1 G, 1 A in the game right now. It was tied when that update was given about 15 minutes ago.

I also think this trade would have been magnificent, but the loss of Brodie was felt way deeper on this roster than I ever could have imagined.

Really?
I didn't his absence was all that noticeable.
Tanev did a great job in that spot, Andersson wasn't ready but he isnt far away either.

Canada wins 4-2. Canada looked better today too. Their powerplay was really ineffective against Germany trying to get point shots through and you could see them work the puck down low a lot more today, so it's good to see the coaches making adjustments.
Mangiapane is the best player on the team from what I have seen. The line with him, Brown and Henrique is their best line by far, but his arrival made a huge difference. I was also more impressed with Owen Power today than I have been in any other game. He looked more dynamic and confident and the coaches were playing him a ton out there.
Italy and Finland left.

I think Owen Power is the best player on that team.
His ice time today crazy. Increased every game from 8 to 26.

I look at mang and see the success he has had with no powerplay time and by playing a lot of time on lines where he was not put in positions to succeed. Too bad a certain 4th round pick couldn't thrive under the same circumstances.

I haven't watched a world championship game in what feels like forever. I really like how all the teams are built right now. Really young and ambitious. That was a fun game to watch.

I'm saying this as someone who hasn't watched any of the games this year, but I really like the idea of teams sending young guys who are just cutting their teeth in the league.
It's not much fun to see the top teams just roll over the rest of the participants. Parity makes competition a lot more fun.
