Didn’t really care after that. Rest of the playoffs I don’t have a horse in the race and I don’t hate anybody left so I don’t care who wins and won’t be tuning in.

Summer time now to enjoy the California weather and NFL in the fall. Take it easy CP.

Must suck that you like the Oilers more than hockey in general. My sympathies and condolences.

An enjoyable summer to you

Lol that's exactly what every Flames fan should want to hear.

With this and the Blackhawks first round (/not even) puntings, that's some next level delusion to believe that all that's holding you back are the breaks.

Not a single one of their players or media will acknowledge their mistakes.

Bear with a terrible giveaway on the tying goal, McDavid with one on the winner. That's not bad luck or not getting bounces; that's making costly mistakes in a close hockey game while the other team doesn't.

It's not that complicated, it's what happens in the playoffs.

Flames lost to the eventual finalists in 6 games (12 seconds away from at least 7)

and got ripped a new one

Oilers lost to a team that, lets be honest will get murdered if they get to round 3

They did their best

Massive nuclear meltdown post game/series shows happening. Winnipeg's radio station has popped the champagne.

The thread title has been promptly updated.

The Wings hit a goldmine in the 1989 draft. Lidstrom, Fedorov, Konstantinov. Terry Murray worked with Devallano to take the team to another level, hired Hakan Andersson. Then they brought in Bowman to win. Holland was just there. Competent, but never the architect.

Jim Nill was right beside him and obviously was a better student. Even Yzerman has passed old Kenny.

He’s another short cut for a franchise that is always the smartest.

Imagine the team they could have with competent management. Not even excellent, just management that doesn’t draft coaches and scouts kids.

McDavid is a great and terrible player at the same time. Racks up points but in key points of the game bails on the puck and straight up gives it away.

Contributes directly to the tying goal then the series clincher in back to back games, meanwhile contributing no goals of his own.

Why does a good regular season excuse that in the minds of all these media people?

He was ordinary, if not sub-par when it mattered.

In the absence of goals they had to resort to a facial expression highlights.

The amount of apologists riding on his wagon is frankly astounding.

No one should call McTurnovers the best player in the game. Everyone who’s not just trying to get views, page hits, likes knows that.

Crosby/Bergeron are two centers that are much better than this guy. He just puts up points. Does NOTHING else. So when the game tightens up in the playoffs, of course he’s going to struggle.

They actually showed McDavid on the bench saying “c’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon”.

(In depth analysis provided by Cheryl Pounder on TSN).

3 straight overtime goals aside where it could have gone either way but Tippet also got outcoached by Maurice. Not that Tippet has had to do any coaching this year besides throwing 97 & 29 out there together for half the game (and once for the full 2 minutes against Ottawa in a 7-3 game )

Maurice put Schiefele, Wheeler, Connor against the Oiler's top line in the first two games, he sacrificed their offence but they shut down McDavid and Draisaitl. He then matched up Lowry, Copp, Appleton against them in the next two when he had last change and Winnipeg's first line ended up having a combined 8 points.
