I’m convinced this goes beyond just SN wanting to promote McDavid. Oilers are a SN regional team. Jets are TSN.

Meanwhile SN has virtually no coverage in the prairies and doesn’t give a #### about the Manitoba market. They have no interest in the jets and have avoided cfl coverage for years. There is no benefit to them at all to cater to jets fans or that market.

This is 100% pandering to the Edmonton market, which is where their viewers come from during the regular season.

It’s pathetic but it is not a surprise. Edmonton and McDavid are all SN have got. In fact, SN are the Oilers of broadcasting. Second rate and miles behind their peers.
