At some point he’ll realize the lesson is to go somewhere else.
Imagine if Carolina won the lottery in 2015 and Brindamour developed McDavid instead of the jock sniffers up North who basically have asked McDingle to develop their franchise.
The lesson for McLovin is show up for the playoffs and score some goals.

You watch Sportsnet highlights and the tone is as if there was a notable death in the sports world to start the show.
Nevermind when they switch to the supposed unbaised Principe and Spector as "impartial " analysts to add thier comments and it looks on thier faces as if each had just had a good cry.

Oilers would probably be much better after a McDavid trade...I would rather they just stick to being a two man team
although Adam Fox spending his winters in Edmonton would be alright too
Doubtful..
Besides the off ice golden goose that the Oilers have convinced Snet to market him as, the impact players on the ice they could and would need (for PR) replace him likely have NMCs and can veto any trade.
The wasteland that Edmoton is as a destination for players thanks to Lowe and his meddling will return if there is no carrot of McDavid as incentive.
Why would top players want to go to Edmonton as part of a trade? They didnt go before McDavid and would be reluctant to again with him gone and all the other off ice crap players know you have to deal with up there
Could the Oilers do a deal with Seattle where they trade McDavid, and like 9 other players of the Oilers choosing for Seattle's first 10 expansion draft picks? Because that seems like the only way out of this unflushable turd spiral for them.
It's much more fun today to zip over and read Oiler Fan Boards than to read this string. I highly recommend it and am going back right now as I sip my morning coffee.

Reading this is like a soothing ointment to treat my feelings about our season.

It has the whole spectrum. Bad puck luck, fire Tippett, it’s all Archibald and Bear’s fault, Stauffer saying it’s a maturity issue, Nugent-Hopkins is invisible... rinse and repeat.
