Honestly, is letting a guy like Lomberg go the reason we didn’t make the playoffs? Absolutely not. But our penchant for going with the guys in free agency who look good with the “analytics”. and over looking the guys we already have that play hard and heavy, and skate fast. Is a major reason why this team can never find a second gear. We’ve let a lot of guys go for nothing that find a role immediately on successful teams. If Treliving stays our GM going into this next season I have zero faith we will move in the right direction.
