So far Phillips had impressed me more so than any of the other call ups

He can skate. But this is no game in which to make any evaluations. I think a preseason game would be a better test frankly.

Mangiapane is hands down the Flames' best forward 5v5 this season.

That should have been the priority that summer.
Other moves should have happened after.

Chicago is the only team they fall behind. So it’s one unless you’re talking about lottery odds.

I hope he can impress Sutter tonight and get a foot in the door before training camp. He plays the right way.

The Canucks will be their biggest rival. Why would they do the Canucks a favor? Better goaltenders will be available via free agency.

Phillips looks tiny, but hasn't looked out of place IMO.

Is tenacious on the puck and doesn't shy away from contact from what I've seen so far.

This is because he's the best prospect of the bunch and should have been first call up.

Every time I watch Phillips I'm impressed by how he impacts the game while at such a size disadvantage. Such smart routes and decisions with the puck

Oh I agree

Barca and the boys were spouting off about it when trying to justify their 13M cap hit in goal next season

I've been a fan since the first time I saw him at dev camp 2016. He gets better every year too IMO.

He has everything needed to have a Cam Atkinson type career. Just needs a shot.
