Not excited about Jiri having pick 6 while I have 7. Odds are really high he is going to take my guy. Might as well fire my scouting division since it won't matrer. Its happened before where Jiri just keeps taking my guys.
Tough to trade Mayfield. We wanted him to be part of our next year's team but 2 2nds is close enough to what we paid to get some futures

Well, we both know it won’t be #6. Jiri will win the lotto for sure.
As an aside is this not the least exciting description of the likely #1 overall pick ever?
"While he’s not considered an elite point-producing offensive talent nor is he regarded as a physically-punishing defensive or shutdown defenceman, he’s viewed as well above average in all the fundamental areas "
Oh boy!

Ducks cleared out a bunch of cap the last 4 trades and didn't want to sit on that money for a number of months until UFA...might as well do something with it.
Thanks Quigz for the deal.

The Leafs feel $5M, which we can only assume is a hip nickname, can step in and solidify our top six with strong two-way play and a nose for the net.

$22.2 million in cap moved on this page alone.
That's gotta be a record.
