MacLean, Jenn, Principe, Bieksa, Friedman, Amber, Singh, and DeBrusk - every single one of them has to have a McDavid monologue? And why do they ALL refer to him only in full name? Singh thinks he’s doing the hyper focus extra justice with the “McDaviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid” call? MacLean actually said we’ll be right back to the McDavid show.

My main "issue" is with the historical stats

pretty sure Mario didn't play 4 games in a row against a team playing 17 games in 30 days right after getting over a deadly virus. There is certainly an asterisk on the season for some of the stats. I mean you played against 6 teams...very average teams IMO.

I mean if you watch basketball, it's the exact same with LeBron whenever the Lakers play. It's the same with Tom Brady in football whenever the Bucs play. This is kind of just how sports market their best players.

McDavid is the kind of player who gets fans interested in the sport. He's electric. Literally every other fanbase recognizes this. Heck, we have a thread on the front page right now praising Sidney Crosby... bet some Flyers fans would find that sickening.
