Haven't caught all of it but the play doesn't look tight at all. Can't imagine either team advancing too far. Kudos to team Einarson for continuing to battle.

Probably looking at 4 teams tied for two spots?

Einarson's front end saved her there. Could have been a steal of one or two.

Feels like they are just hanging on.

They are really hanging on, they're gassed. It's amazing they've gotten this far after starting 1-5. I just want Canada to somehow get through today and get the Olympic berth. Tomorrow is house money.

USA down big to RCF, they're going to finish 7-6 (but they own tiebreakers over Canada). And Germany is going to also be 6-6, they play 1st place Switzerland this afternoon.

If Canada wins, does it come down to Germany losing to Switzerland?

I give credit to these other teams who have had to travel a whole lot further and suffer much more disruption.

Huge steal there. By less than an inch or would have been 2 for China.

It would come down to Germany losing and the loser of Scotland-Denmark losing again? Just remember that Canada is behind USA no matter what, so that's one spot gone.

I think Canada beat Denamrk and Scotland?

Then you've got Korea in there too.

Yeah, Canada beat Denmark, Scotland and Korea and lost to Germany and US. It could be a 6-way tie for 4th.

Last rock tiebreaker currently is
1. Korea
2. USA
3. Canada
4. Denmark
5. Germany
6. Scotland

pretty big gap between Canada and Denmark so 3rd should be safe. Canada was ahead of the US but their ####ty draws this morning put them behind.

Standings (for the last 3 spots)

Denmark 7-5
USA 7-6
Canada 7-6
Germany 6-6
Korea 6-6
Scotland 6-6

Germany plays Switzerland at 2pm
Korea plays Czech Republic at 2pm
Scotland plays China at 7pm
Denmark plays Czech Republic at 7pm

Germany is the big one. If Germany wins this afternoon, I think Canada is almost certain to be out.

The Swiss are up 3 with after 5 so it's looking good.

Germans playing with three players and have been competitive all week. Not a good look for the sport if you ask me.

Canada plays Sweden Saturday morning at 9am Calgary time. It will be a tough match but Einarson is hopefully on a roll now.

The World Mixed Curling Championships starts today! Canada (Einarson and Gushue) vs Spain right now. Scottish commentators!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x_KOI3koSc

TSN picks up the action on Wednesday I think.

Two groups of 10, top 3 make it to the playoffs AND the Olympics
The two 4th placed playoff teams will playoff off for a 7th Olympic spot.

And early struggles again, Canada gives up a steal of 3 in the 1st end. Gonna be a long week.

Canada so fortunate to come away with the win. Einarson just struggling mightily, it’s hard to watch. Nowhere to hide with only two throwers.

After the first game debacle against Spain where Einarson curled 48%, she has really righted the ship and Canada tied for top spot in the group at 4-1. Credit to her for turning it around, and you can see in her body language she is much more comfortable. I'm catching bits and pieces on the world curling you tube channel, which is pretty good.

Still, I don't know how you lose to Australia in curling.
