Sabres goaltending is ravaged by injuries. Last night they started Michael Houser in his first NHL game. Never heard of him? His last pro game before that was March 7, 2020, in the ECHL.
What's more surprising is he was super solid, stopping 34 of 36 to get the win!
He's got the start again tonight and stopped 20/21 shots in the first period alone. Time of his life right now.

The battle of Pennsylvania is a complete reversal from last night. The Penguins are pounding the Flyers 7-3 in the third period.

Those offensive dynamos, the Oilers, down 1-0 and limited to 6 shots in the first period. Amazing how average they look when they aren’t getting gifted powerplay after powerplay!!
