Disgraceful.
That's what brain damage to to an NHL star player is worth I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parros is getting lit up by his bosses today.

Do they still release videos explaining their decision? I would love to hear this one.

They do but it seems only for suspensions. It's a cop out though, just means that they don't need to justify when they only give fines and suspensions are warranted.

It was already announced that Panarin is done for the rest of the year.

One of his bosses is Colin Campbell so......he's probably getting a raise.

I've always had a little soft spot for the Rangers. I don't know why, probably because they beat the Canucks in '94. But that is an amazing response from them. The most prolific American team, in the biggest market in the league, in the city where the NHL head office is. If this doesn't resonate and create some change than I don't know what will.

^^ they also turfed DeAngelo, albeit after giving him a big raise.

The Rangers doing this is significant though. If it’s Columbus they probably couldn’t care less.

If I was entering the league the Rangers would be at the top of my list of teams to play for. Other than the Flames.

His longest suspension was 20 games, since 2017, he has been suspended numerous times. IMO, 25 plus games, and maybe a permanent suspension.
Other posters are right, he is going to McSorley someone soon.

Have you seen the Tax Rates and cost of living in New York?

I think I'd want to play in Florida.

And I hate Florida.

I recall years ago when Lombardi was concussed on a dirty hit from Hatcher and the NHL did nothing. I can't remember who it was that protested, and after the did, Hatcher was suspended. But until then, they didn't care.

The NHL definitely has their golden boy teams, one of which is the Rangers. For them to do this, I think the NHL will listen. Most other teams, and they probably get a fine.

Good on the Rangers for calling out this (lack) of disciplinary action by the NHL.

It is fun playing the 'wheel of justice' when incidents come out. I am actually pretty good at these now. However, I would never have guessed "Fine" for this one.

Star player? Check
Sustained injury? Check
Totally avoidable? Check
Makes the NHL look bad? Check
Against one of the original teams? Check

I would have guess 5-10 games. 5 at the very least given how this was not a hockey play at all, happened AFTER a whistle, and how he is a multiple offender.

I'd pay to see the Rangers take some liberties versus the Capitals tomorrow and then see James Dolan throw $5,000 on the ice lol

Any chance he gets to take a shot at Florida...he's first on the spot. I have to wonder if someone did something terrible to you down here. It's a pretty intense hatred.

Also: Of course your biggest concern is the tax rates. Locke is always working.

There’s a job posting for a lawyer with the Islanders. Hmm.

Especially if the liberties are CLEVER liberties.

I mean, hear me out on this... The Rangers aren't going to the playoffs. The Capitals are. If you're the Rangers, dress a couple of AHL lifers from the taxi squad and send them off the bench when the scrap with Wilson starts. They don't even have to do anything horribly goonish, but the Caps will have to respond. Boom. 10 game suspension to the first guy off the Caps' bench, 5 to the second. Might even get Ovechkin.

Saw Sean Avery trending on Twitter so had to click. I dislike this man but have to agree with him on this. Nhl is looking like a joke league right now.
