I don't know, the angle I saw where pulled Panarins hair and swept the leg on a helmetless player is pretty ####ed up.

Good on the Rangers for that response. Strong language like that from a very important organization in the NHL could perhaps lead to changes within that department in addressing this.

If anyone is still confused about how things like Trump as President and Qanon happen, just read r/hockey and then go to the Capitals subreddit and compare the two.

Oh, and I hope the Flames (and every other team in the league) re-tweet or otherwise endorse that Rangers statement.

Not sure what Panarin was thinking there.

Should have gotten 2-3 games for the dangerous slam but the calls for Wilson to get suspended until 2022 and targeted for a career ending injury are over the top.

While the “horrifying act of violence” line was ridiculous hyperbole, I do agree with the overall sentiment that George Parros should be replaced.

Any bets the Rangers fine is more than Wilson’s?

In the off season Rangers should maybe try and get Ryan Reaves out of Vegas.

Reaves loves toying with Wilson.

Sam Rosen (who I love) was speechless in his call last night. Could not believe what he was seeing.

Ugh....I never played hockey but I've had my head slammed into ice...and not by a Professional Athlete.

That is brutal. That man is genuinely unhinged.

Also remember George Parros' company sold these for a time. Not a good look having this guy in charge of player safety to say the least.

You can argue that the Panarin thing was a wresting match, but the sucker punch to Buchnevich on the ground is the definition of a suspension worthy action.

Good on the Rangers for saying what every one else wanted to say. Parros is a joke and should be been gone awhile ago. That could easily have been a career ending play, the NHL has learned nothing about keeping players safe.

Take some of that Turner money and invest it into auditing the Player Safety and officiating departments.

You want to make the game safer for the players? How about a little action?

F this league.

Imagine if the Flames managed to scratch their way into the playoffs, and this meathead puts Johnny out for the rest of the season. Yup, $5k fine seems fair.

Disgraceful.
