He literally bertuzzid' Butchnivich. Pretty sure that is identical ( minus the worst outcome) what happened to steve Moore.
Tom wilson could turn into a potatoe due to a bad play and I wouldn't have any sympathy. I am also a bad person sometimes because I believe some humans are irredeemable and need to be put out to pastor so what do I know.

This is the only correct response.
Honestly, this may sound extreme, but I would kick him out of the league altogether.
If the league is serious about trying to eliminate (or reduce) fighting, these are the guys you need to keep off the ice. This isn't Tkachuk giving someone an extra face wash or bumping him a little to agitate, this is intent to injure time and time again. He's a psycho. Get him out of the game. I don't care how many points he puts up.

He's got that crazy in him like Cooke and Torres. He just can't help himself and will always be a danger on the ice and little chance of being reformed. Probably time to consider a half season suspension like they gave to Torres.

I would ban him for the rest of this season and half of next season, and make it clear that another incident like this would result in a lifetime band.
I would also make him take mandatory anger management classes etc.

Thank goodness a star is involved for the Rangers.
If that doesn't get the league's attention, nothing ever will. If he'd injured some plug, he wouldn't even be suspended.
That being said, the NHL and NHLPA don't give a crap about protecting player safety and I'd be shocked if he gets more than the rest of the regular season and maybe 1 or 2 playoff games.

A minor point, but the fake crowd noise being switched to the fake hockey fight crowd noise when the melee begins seems particularly phony and stupid. And it might even motivate knuckle draggers like Wilson to elevate their thuggery - like Pavlov’s classical conditioning dog experiment. Or is the sound only heard by the TV audience? If so, it’s still stupid.

I've never seen a player display such blatant disregard for his dooshbaggery.
When he does get other minor penalties and you watch his reaction to the refs he behaves as if he is above it all. How dare you call a penalty on me ....I'm Tom F ing Wilson.
Time for Tommy to go away. Don't even allow him to play AHL or ECHL if he's looking for work. Ban him permanently from the game.

Wilson's not a star, but he's a bonafide first liner. The fact that he ragdolled a star will raise some eyebrows, but that's it. Not sure the league will take this any more seriously than they have in the past.
Slap on the wrist and they'll continue as per normal.

If you watch it real time it looks like two guys wrestling and then go down. Yah it does look real bad slowed down to the slowest speed though. Could there be something else though too?
