Yup but that's smart. That's a really dumb rule. The battler must run in the running lane but the base is on the inside.

I don't think it's a dumb rule personally.  Without it, runners would definitely cheat and lean in.  Think about bunting - you bunt down the first base line, then run inside the line.  That would be really tough on the D.

			Just FYI Sean Reid-Foley has made two appearances for the Mets, 5 IP, 7 K! Such a small amount of work but nice to see him doing well so far.
