Flames win the tiebreaker so they would merely have to go 6-1 in that scenario.

Well that ain’t happening. Assuming Flames go 5-2, what do we need the Habs to do?

Not to worry, undersized skill forwards Kent Johnson and William Eklund may still be available around then!

Guess we will see. Everyone though TB would dummy Columbus too 2 years ago. That went well.

A lot of Oiler rage around the Habs I noticed too.

Price brick walling them would be too great.

In a vacuum maybe, but in hindsight it was foolish because the Flames weren’t done rebuilding yet. The Flames could’ve used the first pick to draft Mathew Barzal or Kyle Conner or Thomas Chabot and then there were 2 picks in an extremely deep second round that could’ve added more depth in the line up. Dougie Hamilton helped the Flames win zero playoff games. He was an unnecessary addition. I will say that the trade was much better then that garbage Hamonic trade which I hated right from the get go.

That's just it, having Sutter here would have increased the chances of Toffoli signing here, since Sutter coached him in LA.

6'1 (Johnson) and 5'10 (Eklund) are now considered undersized? I thought that was average for 17-20 year Olds.

Gaudreau, Debrincat, Point, Phillips are undersized.

One of these pretend teams above us is going to get to the final four. Unbelievable.

Maybe, but maybe he still ends up picking Montreal.

We are the only team I can think of, in the cap era, who have tried to rebuild by trading assets that can make a max of 950K a year in base salary for 3 years and then a RFA contract for players that either have to sign a more expensive RFA contract or are already signed to a more expensive contract. I doubt it is a recipe that rebuilding teams will use in the future.

I really liked Dougie.

I remember a brilliant assist on a Brodie OT goal and how excited he was.

Canucks look to be done.

If they can get in with a sweep of the whales, there's a chance. Not saying it's probable. But there's absolutely a chance if that's the case.

Markstrom is ramping up, and hates his old team.
