I just remembered Shaw talked me into upgrading my TV package, so I have that now! They also broadcast FE, and it was on TSN5 this past weekend. It was the first time FE was on a full race track. I thought it went quite well, thoguh they definitely look slower. But all the extra space means they can use different lines that are more or less efficient, so plenty of excitement.
They are doing the full Monaco track for the first time May 8th, so that should be very interesting.

FE is still newish and they are still working through a couple of challenges as I see it. Yeah that first wet race in Valencia was a disaster. Half the field not finishing because they cut too much energy from running behind safety cars was one of the dumbest things I've seen in racing. Fan boost is also stupid, even the boost and having to use it twice is gimmicky.
But...it's going to be the future and there's some very good drivers in that series. I wish they would race full tracks more often. The city courses are WAYYYY too tight and they force the drivers into taking idiotic risks.
Not sure if they still race the Jaguar i-Pace CUVs as a support race but that was pretty entertaining. I do like the 2 race weekend setup as well.
Isnt that HyperCar class at LeMans for EV/FCEV tech?? I thought that's where the H2 Fuel Cell cars were going to run.

Only 3 entries in the hypercar class. Alpine is a rebranded Rebellion (I think?) and two Toyotas. It's definitely a transition year for them. Real race will be in LMP2.

I actually like the boost zones in FE. They add a lot of strategy to what can be a fairly straightforward race. I don't like fanboost though, it always goes to the same guys.

FP2 Ted just said rumours that VW/Porsche will join F1 via Red Bull as their engine manufacturer. But then said it'd be badged as a Red Bull engine. I think.
